The 36th Radovljica Festival 2018 will take place between 4 and 21 August. The complete programme will soon be available on this website. It will present a variety of programmes including new reconstructions of Viking music, songs from the medieval Carmina Burana, renaissance music for city waits, first modern performances of Franco-Flemish polyphony from manuscripts formerly owned by the prince-bishop of Ljubljana Tomaž Hren, dance music for Carniolan noblemen, English songs from the 17th century, organ music from Johann Sebastian Bach's Clavier-Übung III, string quintets by Schubert and Boccherini on period instruments, as well as German motets and songs from Mendelssohn to Reger. The festival will feature masterclasses for organ, harpsichord, and recorder, and a workshop for singers with Gerd Türk.
A free festival bus from Ljubljana and Kranj is available to all concerts.
